Weekend

Helloooooooo! What weekend! I almost need a weekend to recover!!! Friday was Gayle's Birthday Extravaganza!!! We got her a library cardigan from j. crew (how perfect!) and I got her some Texas Tech Crocks. Then we had her Birthday Party! She didn't want a "party" because "53 isn't a year to celebrate..." so we Had "just family" we made it the very extended family but led her to believe it was immediate family only. Aunts, Uncles and cousins came over for fajitas and margaritas! IT was great! Our family has so much fun when we all get together! It usually only happens on New Years Eve, so this was a treat! Kevin even came home from "San Marvelous" He LOOOOOOOOVESSSSSS Texas State! He says he has more friends in 3 weeks than he did at 2 years in Lubbock. So I guess he made the right decision.

Pictures from the Culwell etc.. cook out coming as soon as Gayle can figure out how to work the new camera... It's her first digital. (Sidebar story: We went to try on wedding dresses last November and my mom, of course, brought her camera. I got on a dress and she took a picture and i tired on another fav and again a pic and we were going to decide by the pictures how they looked... We said OK Mom! show is the pictures! She laughed and said optimistically, "It will take an hour if we go to Kroger right now. I have to get them developed!" Seriously???)

Saturday, Mr. Sunshine (Jared) was WIDE awake at 730! Not being a morning person I growled at him to be quiet and go away leaving him tot eh kitchen and living room, which he cleaned all of the mess from the night before while i slept! YEAH!!!! We left about 10am for the Lake. We thought we missed the last Lake trip Labor Day, but we had a second chance. We went to the Calhoon's lake house and met Chris, Caroline, Casey, Carol and Ed. The weather was perfect and the sun was shining! I have fever blisters to prove it! We had a lazy Sunday morning with another fabulous meal and went to a boat ride. The boys wake boarded and surfed and I sunned and played the circle game on Jared's cell :) Here are some pics...
