Delayed Christmas

Friday was a workday at school (YEAH!!!) We had a breakfast social, brief department meeting and I made a new bulletin board

and we had a baby shower for your dept. head Shannon. (ps. pardon picture quality ALL are from the cell phone :)) So I left work about 2:00!!! and took Molly for a slumber party at my parents house. Came home threw some stuff in a bag and headed to Ft Worth! We checked in to the fabulous Hilton downtown with all the ACA Cheerleaders ages 4-18... Jared said IF we have girls they will not be in full make-up doing pelvic thrusts at the age of 5, like the babies we saw. We called a couple places for dinner reservations but decided on eating across the street at Del Frisco's! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had awesome filet's and even desert! We took a cab to Billy Bob's for the Charlie Robison concert (all were my x-mas present) We got there early and were sitting by the dance floor and the waitress brings us 2 drinks and said they were from someone at the bar... J told her there was a mistake we didn't know anyone here. She smiled and said no mistake! So we went to the bar to investigate and there were Chris and Caroline! They didn't have seats by us but we still got to hang out before and after the concert.

When it was over (CHARLIE WAS AWESOME!!!) we went to a bar in Sundance square. Caroline drove us in her fabulous new car! We went and there was spit out dip all over the floor and a guy puking right infront of us... Not impressed. We walked the 2 blocks back to the hotel and got some sleep in the awesome bed!!! We met Chris and Caroline for Brunch at Taverna and had bottomless mimosas and eggs Benedict! So we headed back to Big D. On the way home before downtown, J exited... I have always wanted to explore the nice big houses I had heard about by the hospital in oak cliff in Kessler Park. So we did!!!

-side note: I sometimes have ridiculous ideas for adventures in Dallas, exploring Oak cliff, celebrity stalking Jessica and Tony, getting to Northpark when the doors open and staying till the close and seeing all the stuff I can do... so for any of these to happen??? very exciting!

After we picked out our dream houses, we headed to the land of Gar to pick up Molly. She missed us :) We were pretty worthless Saturday and didn't get out of bed/ off the couch.

Sunday we skipped church (shhh don't tell) and CLEANED! I LOVE having a clean house but i HATE cleaning... I went to the grocery's tore (another thing I LOVE!!! but i have to go alone AND the child : adult ratio can ruin a good trip) The went tot he gym and we had My cousins Ashley and her hubby Chance plus Scott and Nicole over for Jared's homemade Lasagna and a great "restaurant quality" Waldorf salad. AND are your ready??? I MADE A POWELL POUND CAKE!!! J's Granny gave me her recipe and it was SO GOOD! I think we went through 7 or 8 bottles of wine and had a fire and had a great time!

And Today... HAPPY MLK!! I have a play day with Molly :)
