This week went fassssssst! I was really looking forward to going back to work, but sad to leave Hadley. I thought I'd be ok at daycare Monday morning. Jared wanted to go with me anyway. and I am GLAD he did. We handed her off and were turning in all her papers and I felt the lump in my throat from out of the blue start to creep up... Jared said "do you want to see her one more time?" and I lost it. And in true Maddie fashion I couldn't get the door open!!!! I just wanted out before everyone saw my bawling! So I went to my car and Jared followed me and I was hysterical!
"You can sell my car!"
"I'll give you my debit and credit cards!!!!"
"I can't leave her!"
"I'm not going!!!"
He talked me off the ledge and got my car pointed for Starbucks. Got my Latte and first piece of cake for the week (there were 5 total). Once I got to school I was ok until Anyone spoke to me, then the lump returned... If they asked me how I was there were tears... Once my kids came in I stabilized. They were so glad to see me and everything went very smoothly.
Tuesday there was a throat lump, but no tears.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were great!
I was so torn because I felt like going back to work meant I was choosing it over Hadley. I put that as my facebook status and I got so many encouraging comments that it REALLY helped me feel better. I LOVE my job. I love my subject, I work with the nicest funnest and best people EVER and my students are great. I know I will never have a job like this!
Had's sleeping is going GREAT! Daycare must put her on the treadmill all day. She is SO sleepy its a fight to keep her up to 6:30. At 5:30 she cannot hold her eyes open and gets a little power nap before bath time. All week (I may jinx this) she goes to be at 6:30 and wakes up at 4 because her "pachie" falls out. I have been just bringing her to our bed to snuggle. (#1- I know I shouldn't #2 she sleeps better with me) Once she makes the 4am bed move she has to be woken up at 7:30 to get ready!!! This morning she slept till 8:30! I got GOOD sleep all week. Thursday was an 8pm bedtime for me (might have been earlier I was on the couch and don't remember going to bed)
Today we (Had and Me) are playing with Ashley Belcher (Parks) and Melissa (Mayer)! So we needed out WILD outfit. (Daddy doesn't get the "outfits")
We call it out tribute to Madonna (b/c the lace leggings) and out Bad A$$/Fat A$$ outfit :)

you are a GREAT mom and exactly who God picked out to always be just that for hadley! i know it was hard last week, but i also know those students of yours benefit so much from having their GREAT teacher too. you can do it! and summer is just around the corner.
