Thanksgiving

We started on Monday. The girls went to school and had their Thanksgiving party. Luckily we were off work so Lauren, Jared and I went for lunch. The girls are so big sitting at the table and eating turkey, green bean casserole and sweet potatoes.

Tuesday we planned on leaving for Amarillo at nap time. That gave us the morning to play! We went to Sugar's library and squeaked and swaked loudly while students were working. The girls have discovered stairs and climb Sugars over and over so they were thrilled her library had stairs! After that we went to Big's office and he had some books we read and crawled around on his floor. There were even someones Cheerios in the break room, Hadley may have stolen some... So we left at "nap time" unfortunately there wasn't much napping... Hadley did pretty good until the last hour and this was what happened:

In Amarillo Hadley had her first Taco Villa B-E-A-N Bean Burrito! She LOVED IT!

We had a wonderful time with Grandma, Mawcaw and Aunt Tracey! Hadley helped her Daddy with cooking...

It started out as a sweet cute little girl sitting on the counter watching the parade...

"Hi Daddy! Whatca doing?"

"Can I PLEEEESE help?"

"Can I hold one?" "Let me get a little taste" "Hmm, you try"

Thanksgiving lunch! Hadley liked all the food!

But, as a creature of habit already, there wasn't much sleeping happening in Amarillo all week... We tried EVERYTHING. Sleeping with us, in the crib, on the nap mat, in the crib on the nap mat, in grandmas room, at Aunt Tracey's but alas nothing worked. This was the attempt to watch Wonder Pets and doze. Big shock- didn't work...

But after an AWESOME week of being carried, walked and endless playing with cousins Baylee, Hayden and Mason...

I got to play with Jared's sister Tracey and we went shoe shopping and had the best pedicures! Jared and I also got a date night to see New M00n! I loved it :)

She slept 3 hours on the way home (Molly too) and is starting to readjust to her normal routine.

Hadley was rested after the drive and enjoyed playing in her room before bed. By playing I mean taking everything of reachable shelves and pulling out all stuffed animals and wipes...

After a good 90 minute nap today (at regular time) we braved the rain to go shopping with Lauren and Kennedy! Had was trying out baby chairs.

Now I need a week to recover from my FABULOUS vacation!
