90210

Beverly Hills 90210. Lauren and I have been in love with this show since high school. We didn't watch it when it came out in 1990, we were 10 and Gayle didn't lets us even watch the Simpson's much less a Soap like this. We would record the Wednesday night episodes to watch after church and there were about 4 reruns an afternoon. My dad started calling it "90-666" because he said it was evil. I remember when Dylan's wife Tony died. Lauren and I were in the den in Lubbock hysterically crying. Mom came in very concerned

"WHAT IS WRONG???? WHAT HAPPENED???"
Through our tears we told her that Tony died
She said "WHO????"
"Dylan's Wife (sob sob sniffle)"
"WHO IS DYLAN????"
M&L point to Dylan on TV holding her wedding dress listening to Lyle Lovett's song "Nobody Knows me but my Baby" (still can bring a tear)
"FROM THE TV????"
"yes"
Then Gayle slammed the door...

We never liked Brenda or her replacement Valerie. We were huge fans of "Valerie" from Saved by the Bell, but we don;t like bad girls. Kelly Taylor was always beautiful and perfect. Donna had some high points and low points. Early she was too snobby and had bad hair, then she became good, them she became a hoe when her and David broke up and she hooked up with Noah. Brandon was always cute, but not as hot as Dylan. Steve was Steve and we loved him anyways. They were our friends and kept us company. It was a sad day when the last episode aired. It was a cheesy ending that didn't leave the faithful followers satisfied. Yes Davis and Donna got married, but it wasn't believable. They polled some people and asked what they wanted to happen and did it (much like the Friends finale). Loose ends wrapped up and all got their happily ever after.

So here we are and its time for the NEW 90210. Kelly is coming back as a school counselor at good ole West Bev. Tori Spelling volunteered herself to be the resident "MILF" and when everyone laughed (Ian Zearing responded "I think my glass eye just fell out") she, in true trust fund Hollywood style threw in the "MY DADDY MADE THE ORIGINAL AND I HAVE TO BE IN IT!" Must be how she got the first role of Donna.... Just kidding Donna we love (tolerate) you blonde, brunette, or red. Jared calls her dog face and yells at the tv when she comes on. I think he is a little dramatic. So How will it be? It has the same theme song... Will I watch it? Like I have anything else to do! I am excited. But have my doubts. Can it be revived without the genius of Aaron Spelling??? I wonder if Brandon or Dylan will make any cameos... I bet Steve and David will! They are on the reality TV circut now, they need the Money!
